Evidence-Based Reading Instruction

 

The ALRC provides training and technical assistance on Evidence-Based Reading Instruction (EBRI). EBRI training helps adult education teachers and administrators improve reading outcomes among adults who read below a high school (9th-grade) reading level. This provides instructors with strategies and resources to teach reading based on empirical research and proven best practices.

Academic (Tier 2) Vocabulary Units
As a way to support instructors who are teaching academic (Tier 2) vocabulary to adult learners, complete vocabulary units have been developed by Illinois instructors and edited by ALRC staff.
